About the Role

This position is located in the Office of Business and Data Solutions (BDS), within Loan Guaranty Service (LGY). The incumbent serves as the Assistant Director for oversight of enterprise business and data solutioning programs, applications, and systems supporting LGY operations. The incumbent provides leadership and supervisory oversight for Business Insight Data Solutioning and Product Management and Business Systems Solutions teams.

What You'll Do

  • Specific duties include: Provides senior leadership for the Business and Data Solutions organization, supervising and directing the Chief of Product Management and Business Systems Solutions (PMBSS) and the Chief of Business Insights and Data Solutions (BIDS).
  • Oversees work planning, priority setting, workload distribution, and performance management for PMBSS and BIDS supervisors to ensure alignment with LGY mission goals and program requirements.
  • Coaches and mentors' subordinate supervisors, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous process improvement across all technology and data functions.
  • Leads PMBSS in developing product roadmaps, business requirements, modernization strategies, technology planning, and solution delivery for all LGY systems and digital services.
  • Leads BIDS in creating and executing LGY's enterprise data strategy, including data governance, data quality controls, improved data visualization, and enhanced accuracy and reliability of program data.
  • Directs the formulation, justification, and execution of the LGY technology and data program budget, ensuring alignment with long-range planning priorities and agency budge processes.
  • Provides oversight of all OI&T contracts supporting LGY system modernization, development, maintenance, and sustainment, ensuring strong contract performance management and effective resource use.
  • Serves as the primary technical and data advisor to LGY, VBA, and VA leadership on system operations, IT acquisitions, data environments, and performance issues affecting national stakeholders.
  • Represents LGY leadership in high-level meetings and VA, OMB, Congress, and interagency partners on technology, data, and budget matters.
  • Guides long-range program planning, prioritization, and roadmapping of technology and data investments to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and mission outcomes.
  • Identifies, defines, and validates technology and data requirements to meet LGY operational needs, ensuring systems and tools support accurate, timely, and actionable information.
  • Ensures the design and implementation of secure, reliable, and functional technology and data solutions that enhance program effectiveness and improve access to information for internal and external stakeholders.
