Serves as the Director of the Cost and Fee Analysis(CAFA) division of Pest Exclusion and Import Program. The incumbent participates with the Associate Deputy Administrator, Deputy Administrator, and other members of the PPQ Leadership Team in planning, coordinating, and evaluating overall cost analysis and fee setting program; and provides leadership and strategic direction to CAFA staff activities concerned with exclusion program and policy development.
What You'll Do
- →The duties may include, but are not limited to: Participates with the Associate Deputy Administrator in the planning and program development of user fee costs and activities to support PPQ’s mission, goals, and policies.
- →This involves analysis, evaluation, interpretation and adaptation of broader program and policy objectives, and a wide variety of difficult and important decisions regarding program capabilities and prioritization in relation to resource availability.
- →Provides overall leadership, direction, coordination, and operational accountability for the CAFA division and associated programs.
- →This includes providing strategic leadership in evaluating program quality; identifying program challenges; overseeing the development, coordinating, vetting and implementation of appropriate and effective solutions with internal and external stakeholders, as possible, that enhance program operation and success.
- →Coordinates, develops, and integrates staff functions with other APHIS programs and programs of other federal, state, and foreign agencies and private organizations.
- →Collaborates and communicates with other federal and state partners to effectively plan and administer joint and/or cooperative programs and activities.
- →Represents Associate Deputy Administrator in meetings and dealing with outside groups such as Members of Congress, agricultural industry groups, and others for the purpose of explaining PPQ programs.
- →Other duties as assigned.
