About the Position: This position supports the Defense Health Agency, Program Integration located in Falls Church, VA. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to the Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the principal advisor and senior consultant for the Defense legislative process to ensure a favorable and effective military health care program.
- →Direct and monitor all legislative activities for the Executive Director for Defense Health Agency.
- →Serve as the primary point of contact for all Congressional interactions.
- →Analyze potential improvements to existing Department of Defense health care delivery and financing programs, and develops plans and strategies for new programs.
- →Serve as the principal staff advisor and consultant on matters and issues pertaining to the development, acquisition, implementation, and operational oversight/management of managed health care programs and contracts.
- →Exercise a full range of supervisory authority for subordinate staff.
- →Provides administrative guidance and the technical requirements and descriptions of the work to be accomplished.
- →Establish and maintain upward mobility, and complaint resolution procedures in accordance with agency policies.
