As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will provide oversight of a diverse program portfolio, manage and mentor a multi-faceted team of dedicated employees, and find ways to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and the production of quality work products to meet program goals.

What You'll Do

  • Manage financial-related projects, human resources projects, and space, facilities, and logistics projects impacting the Division.
  • Review and implement regulations and policies affecting assigned programs; formulate work plans and strategies, developing and implementing internal operating procedures.
  • Practice sound position management when assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities and work performance of employees.
  • Manage major aspects of a variety of diverse asylum operational programs implemented by subordinate organizational units within the Asylum Division.
  • Develop, execute, and oversee the implementation of operational improvements and performance standards to ensure productivity and quality goals and standards are achieved.
  • Implement ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of division operations, programs, and activities.

Requirements

  • Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
  • Citizenship and Immigration Services.
  • This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
  • Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
  • Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position.
  • You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
  • EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
