This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS), with one vacancy in Silver Spring, MD.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Management and Program Analysis Officer, you will perform the following duties: Serve as Chief of Staff for the Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS) responsible for office-wide programmatic, fiscal, and operational coordination.
- →Exercise principal responsibility for staff and projects including strategic planning, fiscal execution and outyear planning, corporate communications, Congressional affairs, performance metrics, and risk management.
- →Analyze, conduct evaluations, and advise management on program and operations effectiveness and on management efficiency and productivity.
- →Formulate and execute strategies and initiatives to increase understanding and promotion of CO-OPS' mission and mandates.
- →Leads Communication of the organization's strategic vision, mission, core values and goals to internal and external stakeholders.
- →Develop new concepts and methods to communicate and execute long-range programs and initiatives.
- →Oversee strategies for assessing, tracking, and reporting strategic goals and accomplishments.
- →Serve as a Division Chief and supervise subordinate staff to include planning and distributing work, setting priorities, and developing schedules for the completion of work.
- →Evaluate the performance of subordinates and provide technical oversight and instruction.
- →Identify developmental need and provide or arrange for training.
Requirements
- ✓This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- ✓Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- ✓The ZA-5 is equivalent to the GS-15.
- ✓Key Requirements: Applicants must be U.S.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.
