About the Position: Serves as the District Logistics Manager (DLM) and advisor to the District Commander and Center Directors and staff concerning all logistics support functions. Supervises a logistic team that is made up of a combination of General Supply Specialist, Logistics Management Specialist, Supply Technician, Transportation Assistants, Facility management team, and Wage Grade staff.
What You'll Do
- →At the target GS-12 grade level, you will serve as the District Logistics Manager (DLM) and advisor to the District Commander / Center Directors and staff concerning all logistics support functions.
- →Supervise a logistic team that is made up of a combination of General Supply Specialists, Logistics Management Specialists, Supply Technicians, Transportation Assistants, Facility management team, and Wage Grade staff.
- →Develop local policies, procedures, and internal management controls to provide guidance and instruction for the District's logistics functions.
- →Manage an annual operating budget for logistics management program costs.
- →Allocate resources for a range of functions including supply and hand receipt support, personal property maintenance, vehicle management, facilities and services management programs and contracts to ensure logistics support requirements are met.
- →Develop Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work (PWS) statements to support logistics operations, performs as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and oversees contract administration.
- →Employ knowledge of Federal, Department of Defense, Department of Army and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) logistics policies and procedures to ensure logistical support to the district.
