Incumbent will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist within AJM-2400.
What You'll Do
- →Applies a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the work directed to provide leadership and guidance to adverse staff which carry out the responsibility of NAS Terminal Systems Support to operational facilities.
- →This can include adaptation, testing, hardware or software engineering, maintenance, field support, and deployment.
- →This can also include scheduling, development of support documentation, Safety Risk Management (SRM), and contracts/business management related to requirements associated with the Terminal Second Level Engineering (TSLE) mission.
- →Directs the work of subordinate employees for multiple NAS systems, projects, and/or programs.
- →Duties typically include planning, and communicating team's vision and objectives, setting priorities, assigning tasks and responsibilities, monitoring and evaluating performance, coaching and developing employee capabilities, approving leave, and taking, recommending, or approving corrective/disciplinary action, as appropriate.
- →Defines, plans, and organizes assigned budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish objectives for more than one NAS System, project and/or program.
- →Manages budget to accomplish the goals and/or objectives of the work unit.
- →Participates in the planning and execution of organizational goals utilizing strategic planning and sound management principles to accomplish mission objectives.
- →Accomplishment of work activities requires an extremely high sensitivity/awareness to political factors.
- →Coordinates extensively with headquarters and field organizations as well as the labor unions.
- →Contacts are primarily within the organizational unit, major subdivision and the LOB/SO with subordinates, peers, and higher-level managers to discuss the status of projects/programs and to plan for the future.
- →In some areas, may have frequent contact with customers, other government entities, and other external parties to interpret policies/procedures or for other project/program purposes.
- →Work is typically governed by the established policies, procedures, and organizational objectives that frequently leave room for discretion.
- →Resolves all but unique problems without the intervention of higher-level management.
