The primary purpose of this position: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees. To manage the Air Force's information delivery/retrieval system used to access active duty, guard, reserve, retired, civilian, and manpower data from the Headquarters Air Force's personnel data system.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Director of Staff's Data Retrieval Section, ensuring that analysis and information delivery projects complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- →Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with the Department of Defense, Secretary of the Air Force, Air Staff, Commander Air Force Personnel Center, other Air Force components, major commands, wing commanders and other qualifying government and private agencies.
- →Functions as a functional area expert on the use of automated data management systems and methodologies to support functional area workload in operations research and information delivery throughout the Air Force on matters pertaining to the Total Air Force (Active Duty, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, civilian and manpower data issues).
- →Performs special purpose studies on high-level interest items on either an individual basis or as a team member/leader.
