The Area Manager provides leadership and resource management (finance, human, and acquisition), leading the development and implementation strategy required to manage multiple area-wide IT End User Operations.
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties: Oversee the day-to-day operations, services, maintenance and security for all customers within their immediate geographic area.
- →Use highly specialized knowledge of data communication technology, data base information management, distributive data processing, client/server and workstation architectures, WAN/LAN selection, acquisition, implementation and life-cycle management processes and modernization of office automation system/support is essential.
- →Requires detailed knowledge of hardware, software, peripherals, and their relationships with the operational, technical and system architectures.
- →Direct, review and participate in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of automated information systems and technical architectures in compliance with Congressional, VA, OI&T, and EUO directives.
- →Identify and resolves root causes of problems that degrade delivery of essential Information Technology services.
- →Lead and oversee IT management concept development that impacts all IT business processes, operations, and strategies.
- →Identify solutions to facility IT challenges for resources allocation and provides advice and guidance regarding current and future information systems concepts, doctrine, methods, practices, operations and technologies.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
- →Tour of duty may be subject to change based on organizational needs.
- →Travel Required: Up to 25% travel may be required, as needed, for this position.
