What You'll Do
- →Oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of a team of Investigative Specialists, who conducts sensitive and complex misconduct investigations, surveys, inspections and evaluations.
- →Directs work; assumes a full range of delegated managerial and supervisory authorities within OI and provides both technical and administrative oversight to subordinate supervisors and staff.
- →Conducts research to produce staff papers, original analytical studies, and assessments for dissemination and/or presentation to field agents and supervisory personnel.
- →Conducts all-source analysis across the investigative programs, with primary focus on investigations involving alleged employee misconduct.
- →Develops and implements new enforcement strategies, briefs senior officials, and other key personnel on a frequent basis.
- →Prepares and presents briefings and conducts staff coordination to gather and disseminate needed information to audience.
Requirements
- ✓Conditions of Employment: You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
- ✓Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- ✓This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
- ✓Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
- ✓Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position.
- ✓You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
- ✓Motor Vehicle Operation: This position requires operation of a motor vehicle.
- ✓You must possess a current valid driver's license.
- ✓EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
