About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Chief, of the Design Branch under general supervision of the Chief, Engineering Division, Directorate of Public Works (DPW). This position is located in Fort McCoy, WI.
What You'll Do
- →Directs and supervises the internal activities of the Design Branch.
- →Exercises technical supervision over subordinate engineers, architects, technicians, and draftsmen.
- →Coordinates the designs that need to be accomplished by the Branch with the Chief of the Engineering Division and then plans work to be accomplished by subordinates by setting priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work.
- →Conducts technical review and cost management of engineering designs.
- →Ensures compliance with the Installation Design Guide for all related design functions, activities, and services.
- →Prepares contract documents for one-time contracts, Design/Build contracts, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, and task orders issued on existing IDIQ contracts.
- →Plans for and initiates development of contracts and selection of contractors to provide continuous service to the installation.
- →Provides technical and administrative supervision to employees.
- →Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work; and assigns work to subordinates based on priorities.
