This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD/DoW Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Chief, Environmental Management Branch or Environmental Compliance Branch, to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate present and proposed systems, policies, and programs for environmental compliance
What You'll Do
- →Research technical literature and government policy documents.
- →Coordinate with Chief, Engineering Division, Chief, Master Planning Division and Corps of Engineers to evaluate and document the impacts of all construction actions on the environment.
- →Supervise and direct the work of the branch which is staffed with 5-10 subordinates and 20 support contractors including environmental engineers, environmental protection specialists, environmental protection assistants.
- →Develop plans for and direct environmental compliance surveys and studies to evaluate degree of existing compliance with DPW staff other government agencies, or contract personnel.
