About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STEM to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Director, Directorate of Public Works exercising full authority for management and operation decisions related to engineering and environmental activities.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan, manage and administer the installation's repair and utilities program, which requires continuous monitoring and analysis of program execution to make strategic adjustments for changing local conditions.
- →You will coordinate facility modifications and new construction requests with the Garrison Master Plan while continuously analyze and review facilities operations and maintenance programs to address evolving requirements.
- →You will participate with the Program, Budget, and Manpower Division and other directorate personnel in preparing, justifying, and adjusting the directorate budget.
- →Through subordinate supervisors, you will assign, direct, and evaluate the work of the subordinate organizational elements.
- →Establishes workload priorities and initiates assignments.
- →You will provide advice, counsel, and instruction on technical and administrative matters.
- →Hears and resolves employee complaints.
- →You will interview candidates for key vacant positions and make selections and review performance evaluations made by subordinate supervisors.
