About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Fort Hamilton in southern New York City, Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, at the base of the world famous Verrazano Narrows Bridge. It is 20 minutes to mid-town Manhattan.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the Chief, Operations and Maintenance, Directorate of Public Works.
- →Responsible for performing technical, administrative, managerial, and professional work related to contract administration, quality assurance, facility repairs, energy conservation management and oversight, and facility operations and maintenance.
- →Supervise and manages the Operation and Maintenance Division by developing, planning and assigning work, setting deadlines and priorities, identifying issues that need attention, and directing work accordingly.
- →Administer, manage, direct, and support the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for the multimillion dollar Base Operations (BASOPS) Maintenance Contract of the Division.
- →Responsible for work scheduling and prioritization, and job planning.
- →Oversee and manage the requirements contracts, job order contracts, custodial contracts, and other small service and short form contracts.
- →Represent the requirements and priorities of the operations and maintenance functional area in overall Public Works planning and programming.
