About the Position: Serves as Chief, Quality Assurance Section responsible for planning and supervising construction management and quality assurance of all Japan Engineer District construction projects in area of responsibility. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as Chief, Quality Assurance Section who is responsible for planning and supervising construction management and quality assurance of all JED construction projects within AOR and providing policy guidance and staff assistance to field offices.
- →Plans and supervises the work of a group of engineers and technicians engaged in exercising construction and specialized engineering surveillance and quality management over a wide variety of U.S. and GOJ funded military construction projects Supervises and coordinates all activities of the section including evaluation of all construction performed by lower echelons.
- →Reviews of all design drawings and specifications for construction feasibility and development of contractor inspection system clauses.
- →Analyzes technical construction reports from area/resident/project offices responsible for construction projects in area of responsibility.
- →Provides staff assistance to the field offices, speaking for the District Area Office, for technical evaluation of construction contract compliance and other facets of the program.
- →Responsible for the supervision, evaluation, coordination, training and assignment of personnel in the branch.
