You will serve as either a SUPERVISORY COMPUTER ENGINEER or a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS ENGINEER in the MISSION SYSTEMS GROUP, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, SOFTWARE ACQUISITION DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide long range plans and establishes specific program objectives to meet current and future customer requirements.
- →You will provide senior oversight of make/buy decisions within the Branch, fulfill safety, environmental and internal control requirements.
- →You will provide technical expertise and advice relative to engineering/computer science principles and practices involved in the development and integration of complex software systems.
- →You will address all technical aspects of the programs including but not limited to system concept, requirements, design, development, integration, production, testing and logistics.
- →You will serve as a software expert consultant and engineering advisor to other teams, and participate in meetings and conferences with key personnel of other departments.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
