About the Role
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located with Headquarters U.S. Africa Command Operations Directorate Joint Intelligence Center in Stuttgart, Germany.
What You'll Do
- →Maintains oversight and management of the daily activities with planning and executing highly specialized, mission critical CI, HUMINT and Identity Operations requirements.
- →Provide expertise in intelligence processes and threat analysis to support technical needs of multifaceted J2X CI, HUMINT and Identity Operations missions.
- →Researches and interprets guidance and policy to develop new integrated methods that incorporates joint-service and inter-agency requirements.
- →Manages daily activities related to planning and executing highly specialized, mission-critical Counterintelligence (CI), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), and Identity Operations.
- →Frequently briefs the Commander, Deputy Commander, and the J-Staff on J2X matters with little or no-notice and without time to develop formal briefing materials.
- →Provide oversight and management of the daily activities with planning and executing highly specialized, mission critical CI, HUMINT and Identity Operations requirements.
- →Provide technical and administrative supervision.
- →Reviews work for feasibility and compatibility with intelligence and security regulations and overall effectiveness.
- →Determines necessary training, approves leave, resolves informal complaints and refers disciplinary actions to higher level supervision.
