About the Role
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) Forces Directorate in Charlottesville, VA.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, directs, controls, reviews, and evaluates the work of an organization responsible for the production of finished intelligence on the military capabilities of foreign ground forces within the branch's areas of responsibility.
- →Maintains currency on overall and specific intelligence situations, relevant issues, analytical methodologies, intelligence production support systems and tools required and available to support the element's mission.
- →Briefs Army, DOD intelligence community and participating agencies' officials on organization mission and production.
- →Identifies and satisfies stakeholder requirements, implements operations to meet requirements in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
- →Reviews operations, evaluates program effectiveness by review of reports, discussion with subordinates and consultation with customers serviced.
- →Makes recommendations for improvement in procedures which will affect other operations.
- →Evaluates and rewards employee performance, sets performance standards, provides counseling as required, and identifies training requirements.
- →Periodically reviews position structure of organization supervised to ensure that positions are established to promote optimum balance between economy, efficiency and utilization of skills.
