About the Role
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the JOINT ACTIVITIES, DIRECTORATE OF INTELLIGENCE, INTELLIGENCE ANALYSIS DIVISION FORT BRAGG, NC.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as senior analyst for a specific geographical area or highly specialized functional area, responsible for solving difficult and complex analytical problems.
- →Develop in-depth intelligence analytical assessments to determine best methodology to counter enemy threat forces or technology in proximity to an operational objective area.
- →Prepare and edit integrated intelligence products, such as briefings, intelligence assessments, and feasibility assessments, intelligence estimates, and annexes to operational orders.
- →Attend conferences and meetings held by the various governmental and military intelligence agencies in furtherance of the information needs of the command as dictated by contingency plans.
- →Establishes long-range plans to satisfy intelligence shortfalls within a functional area or geographic area of responsibility.
- →Set performance standards, appraise employee performance, approve and disapprove leave, resolve complaints, and take remedial action as necessary regarding performance problem areas.
