These (2) positions are located in the DEA, Intelligence Division: - Office of Special Intelligence, CNTOC, Europe, Asia, Africa Intelligence Support Unit (NSIC), in Chantilly, VA. - Office of Special Intelligence, Operations Analysis Unit 1 (NSOA), in Merrifield, VA.
What You'll Do
- →As a your typical work assignments may include: Plans and directs the activities of staff in the collection, evaluation, production and dissemination of drug law enforcement intelligence.
- →Oversees and plans the operations of an intelligence program with worldwide implications.
- →Assesses unforeseen developments, new phenomena, and difficulties encountered.
- →Initiates, plans, and evaluates broad and comprehensive research and analysis programs, procedures, and policies.
- →Prepares and presents briefings to high-level federal, state, and local law enforcement representatives and to foreign dignitaries in regards to difficult, complex, and controversial drug trafficking issues.
- →Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
- →Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members.
- →May be required to testify during career as an Intelligence Research Specialist.
