This position is located with the Chief Information Office. Incumbent leads by example in defining an organizational culture to ensure that all employees, partners, and stakeholders are treated with respect and civility, and ensures that CIO staff cultivates partnerships with its customers and stakeholders while developing solutions to meet their needs. What You'll Do
- →Incumbent is a member of the senior leadership team in the CIO serving the NRE Assistant CIO (ACIO).
- →The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of IT infrastructure services and manages a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit in the delivery of platforms and services.
- →Determining broad functional assignments for subordinate staff who operate, maintain and support Forest Service infrastructure services.
- →Providing trusted advice on the relationship of major policy decisions, proposed changes from legislation or regulation on IT delivery, budget or staffing levels and their impact on program objectives affecting the NRE IT portfolio and CIO programs.
- →Prepares written analysis regarding USDA policies, directives, and positions on difficult or complex business and/or information technology issues.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.

- ✓New USDA supervisors must successfully complete all components of the required new supervisory training program before the end of their probationary period.
- ✓This is a drug testing designated position.
