What You'll Do
- →Serves as a technical expert in personal computer hardware, local area networks (LANs), commercial personal computer software, custom personal computer programming, telecommunications and must possess a mastery of these specialty areas.
- →Performs major diagnostics and troubleshooting on personal computers and all related equipment.
- →Responsible for regional information technology (IT) related duties, such as oversight, guidance, and staff training related to information systems and security; and coordination of institution staff assist visits and ensuring operational reviews are conducted in a timely fashion.
- →Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, administration, support and training for the Bureau of Prisons' (BOP) video tele-conferencing system (VTC).
- →Serves as an expert resource for the IT branches in developing and directing information resource management techniques for use by shared processing environments.
