About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 7th SIG CMD (T) 21st SIG BD in Fort Detrick, Maryland
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the 21st Signal Brigade Operations Manager, S-3, (and Deputy, S-3 when a Military Officer is assigned) responsible for managing and directing military and civilian personnel.
- →Support the plans, projects, operations, training and exercises in support of the Brigade’s assigned elements of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) and other special communications missions.
- →Serve as the Operation Manager responsible for the operational planning and programming of various special purpose DoDIN telecommunications and network systems and programs.
- →Direct the necessary coordination, scheduling and integration of resources, including staff personnel, funds, and materials to complete projects.
- →Direct the coordination, monitoring, reporting, and execution of Brigade exercises, missions, and deployments and Brigade participation in external exercises, missions, and deployments Manage and supervises the overall operations of the S3.
- →Ensure that subordinates position descriptions are current and accurate, and that the principles and practices of effective position management are followed.
