This position is located with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and manages the Information Resources environment for the Forest Service. The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating decision making for all information resources, information technology infrastructure, and business applications that support mission priorities in coordination with field and Forest Service Leadership. What You'll Do
- →Manages significant elements or phases of projects related to major agency functions, programs, or projects.
- →Plans, guides, coordinates, and manages the work of subordinate, secondary, and related resources engaged in accomplishing the missions and functions of the organization.
- →Performs periodic review and analysis to assess achievement of major goals.
- →Provides computer analysis for special projects, future projects, and in advance planning of new systems and capabilities of all applicable agency programs and areas of concern and responsibility.
- →Participates in preliminary and critical design reviews and determines, develops, and defends requirements.
- →Provides research on technical issues and policy changes, develops alternatives, performs cost/benefit studies, and prepares recommendations.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
