Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Field Support Directorate, Southwest Region, located in Nogales, AZ.
What You'll Do
- →Joining Customs & Border Protection will allow you to use your expertise in Information Technology principles, concepts and methods to support Information Technology systems and services.
- →This position starts at a salary of $108,455.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $140,994.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →In this Supervisory Information Technology Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals providing support and guidance on Information Technology systems and services.
- →Typical work assignments include: Providing technical guidance to and overseeing a team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques.
- →Identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
- →Analyzing, planning, and developing network systems hardware and software installations consistent with existing and planned network infrastructures.
- →Diagnosing and resolving difficult customer-reported incidents and problematic trends to improve operational capability.
