The primary purpose of this position is to serve as first level supervisor providing specialized knowledge and expertise in planning, directing, and executing the functional responsibilities and procedures for the Career Development Element of the Military Personnel Flight (MPF).
What You'll Do
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
- →Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. 2.
- →Manages all military personnel programs that fall under Military Personnel Flight Career Development Section for the installation and associated units, which includes but is not limited to assignment actions, reenlistment and extension actions, and retirement and separation actions. 3.
- →Manages DAF Officer and Enlisted Promotion Programs and other special action programs.
- →Monitors and ensures employees meet time critical suspenses regarding processing Promotion Recommendation Forms and other actions as deemed necessary to ensure proper promotion consideration. 4.
- →Advises commanders, supervisors, managers, and employees on various personnel programs.
- →Ensures commanders and supervisors are aware of their responsibilities in support of various personnel programs under his/her control.
- →Establishes, implements and monitors local policies and procedures to be followed in planning and conducting all phases of career progression programs. 5.
- →Assures the integrity of the military personnel data systems.
- →Ensures accuracy and timeliness in processing personnel actions into the automated system. 6.
- →Provides oversight of the installation passport and visa program.
- →Ensures all acceptance agents meet all qualifications listed in the federal Passport Agent's Reference Guide (PARG) and a sufficient number of Acceptance Agents are trained to meet demand and quality customer service.
