The Executive Resources Division (AHR-200) oversees and administers human capital (HC) policies and programs for Federal Aviation Administration Executive System (FAAES) positions and political appointments across the agency. AHR-200 also works closely with the FAA's Administrator's Office on various executive policy initiatives and serves as the liaison between the Department of Transportation on matters impacting the FAAES.
What You'll Do
- →Oversees the Executive Resources Division (AHR-200), which is responsible for providing a full range of life cycle executive resources programs and support for FAA executives to include career and non-career Executives and the agency's Chief Scientist and Technical Advisor cadre.
- →Supervises a subordinate staff responsible for recruitment, staffing, and placement; executive suitability determinations; position management and classification; onboarding and offboarding; performance management and the Performance Review Board; and awards, including the Presidential Rank Award, along with benefits and processing personnel actions.
- →Develops and manages innovative executive resources programs tailored to the needs of complex, technologically advanced organizations with a diverse workforce.
- →Collaborates with the FAA Administrator's Office on various executive policy initiatives, as well as other organizations within the Office of Human Resource Management (AHR).
- →Applies expert knowledge of advanced human resources principles, concepts, regulations, practices, analytical methods, and techniques.
- →Often serves as the FAA agency lead, subject-matter expert, and principal point of contact in their assigned program area.
- →Acts as a principal specialist or team leader for challenging projects, programs, and activities under the minimal direction of a manager or executive, with work reviewed only upon completion to assess success in achieving planned results.
- →Engages with both internal and external contacts and frequently represents the Office of Human Resource Management and/or FAA as a principal point of contact on policy applications.
- →Holds the authority to recommend positions, prepare and approve major reports, and develop briefings.
- →Broad policies and objectives provide general guidance for addressing issues, often necessitating the development of new approaches.
- →The allocation of resources or work is typically reviewed only upon completion for success in achieving planned results.
- →Has broad discretion to ensure alignment between organizational goals, policies, and project or work activity requirements.
- →The work typically impacts one or more organizational units or higher levels and often aligns with FAA objectives.
- →Position Specific Requirements: As the Director of Executive Resources, this role oversees executive recruitment, staffing, position management, performance management, and personnel processing, while developing and leading HR programs and establishing organizational priorities.
