The Supervisory Projects Engineer ensures safe, reliable, and a precisely controlled operating environment for direct patient care through management of a design and construction program to build and renovate hospital and support environments.
What You'll Do
- →Supervisory Project Engineers serve as experts in the design of the medical care environment, including all hospital building features, automated building management and environmental control systems, and critical utility systems, as well as the oversight of related construction including construction in and adjacent to operational healthcare environments.
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties include but not limited to: Responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, evaluating, and management processes for the Engineering Service Project Section that includes setting qualitative and quantitative standards.
- →Provide professional and technical guidance and direction and review of assigned programs, including professional engineering work in several disciplines such as; architecture, civil engineering, energy engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, environmental engineering, fire safety and safety engineering.
- →Work closely with biomedical engineering and the National Acquisition Center (NAC) in the coordination of complex equipment installations.
- →Provide technical advice on a wide range of engineering issues, including the Strategic Capital Investment Plan, Capital Asset Inventory, Capital Asset Resource Survey, Deferred Maintenance, and a myriad of engineering related topics.
- →Mentor newer engineers and help them as they learn the things they need to know to successfully perform in Projects Section.
- →Provide professional advice to improve such plans, specifications, and analyses.
- →Direct necessary changes and furnishes assistance as required to ensure a positive outcome.
- →Advise subordinate personnel on methods and procedures to be used on highly complex projects.
- →Oversee subordinate professionals (i.e., engineers or architects) work.
- →Serve as a technical authority, providing expert advice pertaining to the design and construction of facilities and structures in a large geographical region, and in a complex functional specialization.
- →Review subordinates' activity plans, specifications, and cost estimates for technical adequacy and feasibility.
- →Plan and/or accomplish special projects as required.
- →Conceive and implement new initiatives and projects to strengthen, facilitate, and integrate programs.
