About the Role

The Primary Purpose of the Position: To serve as the Chief, Outpatient Operations overseeing the Tyler, Plano, Polk, Grand Prairie outpatient clinics and five contract clinics to include planning, organizing, contracting, directing, coordinating, evaluating, on-boarding and improving administrative and supporting medical operations for Veterans' care and treatment. Location negotiable within VA North Texas Healthcare System (Dallas, Tyler, Fort Worth, Garland, Bonham).

What You'll Do

  • Duties include but are not limited to: Plans, directs, coordinates and manages all current and future contract clinic operations.
  • Exercise supervisory personnel management and contract management responsibilities.
  • Review current and proposed policy, operations and procedures for the contract clinic program.
  • Formulates and executes the Health Care Center budget.
  • Organizes and establishes program evaluation activities.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with local community organizations, volunteer groups, Inter-Service, local, state, and national agencies; private and government accreditation agencies; and universities.
  • Responsible for executing contracts through the entire contract life cycle to include pre and post award.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
