The incumbent is based at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System and serves as the Supervisory Health System Specialist for the Nurse Executive Service Line.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Evaluates effectiveness of programs and initiatives, and integrates improvements into business practices.
- →Supports and guides management officials by analyzing, advising on and/or coordinating system and operational improvements.
- →Develops information required for policies, procedures, programs, education, and other special requirements specific to the service line.
- →Supports and manages budget and fund control points.
- →Oversight includes coordination of funds through purchase cards, contracts, invoicing, reconciliations, etc.
- →Oversees and directs the flow of work related to management of the Nursing Service's human resource activities.
- →Advises and coordinates flow of work for all Equipment Inventory Lists (EIL) within the Service.
- →Analyzes and evaluates Service Line space needs.
- →Supervises employees and performance.
- →Analyzes and evaluates significant trends and issues for data related to Service Line operations.
- →Coordination of Service Line Labor Mapping/DSS to support accurate data reporting for staffing costs and productivity.

Requirements
