This position is in the VA National TeleCritical Care (NTCC) Program, Specialty Care Services Program Office (SCPO), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The incumbent serves as a program manager for multiple assigned projects within each area of responsibility, working directly with business owners and major initiative leads.
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties: Lead Performance Improvement Initiatives and Projects (40%) Serves as a program manager for multiple assigned projects within each area of responsibility, working directly with business owners and major initiative leads.
- →Develops long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones; identifies and develops ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that directly affect the accomplishment of principal program goals and objectives.
- →Researches and proposes new and innovative ways to resolve or improve major problems or issues within the leadership framework.
- →Represents the group consensus and conveys the section's findings and recommendations in meetings and communication with other leaders, program officials.
- →Develops innovative strategies and recommendations for initiating and establishing goals, timetables, and procedures for expediting projects.
- →Implements new initiatives and projects.
- →Program Implementation (35%) The incumbent coaches the program in the selection and application of appropriate problem problem solving methods and techniques.
- →Coordinates with managers and technical specialists from key installation elements to develop quality program plans.
- →Serves as a liaison to various VA departments and national level programs covering information transmission, meeting and project coordination, and administrative issues related to NTCC.
- →Maintains accurate and current mechanisms to monitor the status of the NTCC Program budget, implementation objectives, agreed upon actions, and identification of potential deficiencies.
- →Responsible for financial accounting and fiscal stewardship of Tele Critical Care funds.
- →Serves as program contact for data acquisition, analysis, and presentation.
- →Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information.
- →Oversees the daily operation of the program, ensures that agency policies and priorities are being followed; develops performance standards; and evaluates work performance of subordinates.
