About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at EVANS Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, CO in Medicine Service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Refer personnel to the appropriate agency to obtain counseling/guidance on benefits that will be provided by the Department of Labor, Social Security Administration and Veterans Affairs (VA).
- →Communicate with service members, retirees and family members to apply for benefits for which they are eligible.
- →Use automated health system databases to document progress, concerns or other issues relevant to the service member’s case.
- →Counsel military personnel from all branches of the uniformed services to include retirees and the Families of those being processed through the Army Physical Disability Evaluation System (APDES) on their rights, benefits, privileges or obligations.
- →Take or coordinate photographs of injuries, wounds and scars.
- →Release medical information to authorized personnel in accordance with established guidelines.
