The VA New Mexico Healthcare System, Albuquerque, New Mexico; is actively recruiting for a Supervisory Health System Specialist (Credentialing and Privileging Assistant Manager). Incumbent is assigned to the Medical Staff Office, which is under the Chief of Staff (COS).
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but not limited to: Manage operation of a medical credentialing involved in the appointment and reappointment of physicians, and other medical personnel.
- →Advise management, practitioners, hospital staff, and credentialing staff at other institutions on credentialing issues.
- →Receive and review daily reports detecting problem areas requiring further investigation.
- →Assure compliance with credential and privileging guidance and standards.
- →Identify credentialing program needs.
- →Provide technical guidance to professional staff on the credentialing process.
- →Assist practitioners and/or their staff in the utilization of automated credentialing systems such as VetPro.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Telework: ADHOC only.
