You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the Special Operations Forces Undersea Mobility Division of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating of logistics programs objectives and goals.
- →You will ensure documents controlling work processes are maintained in a usable, current conditions, which results in cost efficient execution.
- →You will supervise a typical core team of approximately twelve engineers/technicians/logisticians and tech editors of diverse disciplines.
- →You will ensure resources are available and effective for on-yard and off-yard assignments.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓POSITIVE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: This position has a Positive Education Requirement.
- ✓In order to verify that you meet the positive education qualifications for this position, you must submit a complete copy of your transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable) or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours and grade).
