About the Position: Serves as Deputy Director, Directorate of Public Works (DPW), and a professional engineering advisor to the DPW and installation staff, with responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating engineering activities associated with the missions of the DPW, as prescribed in AR 420-1 and related directives through subordinate supervisors.
What You'll Do
- →Develops long-range plans for programs and activities which include requirements for operations, phases of development, organization, equipment, facilities, budget, reporting, control, methods, and processes for accomplishing the assigned missions.
- →Executes administrative and personnel management responsibilities related to the accomplishment of the mission assigned.
- →Plans organizational structure and staffing needs.
- →Provides both technical and administrative review and appraisal of programs and functions directed by reviewing progress and operating reports.
- →Provides expert technical engineering advice on complex matters to the command group, higher echelon, and other activities.
- →Maintains contacts with local activities, higher echelons, contractors, engineering firms, etc., to obtain information or data, furnish advice or assistance, etc.
- →Implements prescribed internal controls to ensure that proper controls are in place and working to prevent fraud, waste, abuse, loss, or misappropriation of funds, property and other assets.
