You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT - CODE 200 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
What You'll Do
- →You will assume overall responsibility and authority for the Engineering Division technical field engineering support for project waterfront availabilities on assigned ship class.
- →You will assume overall responsibility and authority for preparing and delegating Engineering Division non-nuclear and nuclear interface work to cognizant technical codes.
- →You review and concur on, prior to issue, prerequisite lists for nuclear interface key events and high-risk evolutions.
- →You will supervise a workforce of approximately 8-30 employees, comprised of lower graded personnel involved in technical work execution and trouble desk duties.
- →You will provide ship availability project field engineering support at assigned project location.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
