You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER (APM-E) in the Tactical Communications and Electromagnetic Warfare Program Management Office (PM TCE), within Portfolio Acquisition Executive, Marine Corps (PAE MC).
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a senior technical advisor providing systems engineering expertise and guidance for Marine Corps acquisition programs and major technical initiative.
- →You will lead and oversee engineering support for the Program Management Office, including coordination with technical advisors, program managers, and Department of War stakeholders.
- →You will advise leadership on systems engineering, technical planning, architectures, interoperability, and technology issues affecting acquisition programs.
- →You will manage, develop, and sustain a highly skilled engineering workforce by assigning priorities, evaluating performance, mentoring employees, and identifying training needs.
- →You will evaluate technical and programmatic issues, anticipate risks, and develop recommendations and solutions that support mission effectiveness and sound acquisition decisions.
- →You will develop procedures, reports, organizational recommendations, and workforce strategies to improve engineering operations and program management effectiveness.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
