This position is located within the Deputy Inspector General for Evaluations, Space, Intelligence, Engineering Oversight Directorate, Research and Engineering Division. This position is for a Supervisory General Engineer, Project Manager responsible for supervising, leading, and performing broad and complex oversight (engineering assessments, evaluations, and inspections) of programs, policies, procedures, and functions for one of the teams within the Research & Engineering Division.
What You'll Do
- →Directs, supervises, and develops subordinates to apply compliance, DoW acquisition, critical thinking, and best-practice engineering standards to assess complex DoW weapons systems, safety systems, and infrastructure.
- →Provides technical guidance to direct subordinates in applying engineering concepts and principles to assess complex DoW weapons systems and facilities for the purposes of oversight reporting and recommendations.
- →Utilizes engineering expertise to lead and direct a team of engineers, auditors, and program analysts in evaluations, audits, and investigations for the purposes of oversight report writing, findings and recommendations, and policy review.
- →Leads, reviews, and contributes to the research, planning, execution, and documentation of activities supporting the evaluation or assessment of complex DoW weapon systems, safety systems, and infrastructure.
- →Formulates long-range plans for annual evaluations, staffing, budgets, and team development.
- →Prepares oversight reports using engineering expertise and established inspection standards.
- →Communicates plans and findings to advance the mission.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GS-14 grade level.

- ✓PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more that 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.
- ✓GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study.
- ✓Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis.
- ✓If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
