You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the UEM PRODUCT LINE (PW6) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
What You'll Do
- →You will oversee goals and objectives for the work directed; manage organizational changes the structure and content of the program; and exercise discretionary authority to approve the formulation and execution of the Utilities budget.
- →You will oversee the overall planning, direction and timely delivery of utility, energy, and facility services within NAVFAC.
- →You will provide administrative oversight of the Region's Energy program as required.
- →You will balance workload by shifting work assignments or resources to achieve the most effective work operations.
- →You will provide expertise in identifying and validating projects and their impact to the utility and facility systems, assisting in strategic energy program shaping, and providing administrative support and control to the position.
- →Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics.
- →You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
