You will serve as a Division Head (Supervisory General Engineer) in the NAWCAD Lakehurst, ALRE Department, Ford Class Launch & Recovery Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
What You'll Do
- →You will Lead and manage a division in life cycle management of assigned programs, including planning, execution, and sustainment to support fleet readiness.
- →You will Supervise, mentor, and develop employees by providing clear direction, coaching, training opportunities, and regular performance feedback, including performance appraisals and career development planning.
- →You will plan and allocate resources (funding, manpower, facilities) to meet mission requirements and program objectives, and adjust plans as priorities, risks, and constraints change.
- →You will exercise technical authority and make timely, risk-based decisions to support fleet readiness and resolve complex technical issues.
- →You will monitor, review, and assess division work products and performance to ensure quality, compliance with policy and standards, and achievement of programmatic and strategic objectives.
- →You will conduct manpower and workload assessments to determine optimal staffing, skill mix, and organizational structure to meet mission needs.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
