You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the DIGITAL ANALYTICS INF & TECH ADV GROUP, INFRASTRUCTURE SAFETY & ENVIRO DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
What You'll Do
- →You will distribute daily work assignments to subordinates based on established priorities, individual capabilities, and project difficulty to optimize workflow efficiency and increase production quality.
- →You will deliver on-the-job instruction, counsel, and career development advice to team members, acting as the primary point of contact for routine administrative and work-related inquiries.
- →You will participate in candidate interview panels and make recommendations to senior leadership regarding personnel actions, including appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
- →You will research and resolve complex technical inquiries, review project work for accuracy, and assist in evaluating contractor performance against established quality criteria.
- →You will identify employee training needs, recommend minor disciplinary actions when necessary, and ensure team adherence to all safety, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and anti-harassment policies.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
