YOU WILL SERVE AS THE CYBER TECHNICAL LEAD IN THE DIGITAL ANALYTICS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY GROUP, CYBER WARFARE DEPARTMENT OF NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide Cyber related subject matter expertise to encompass all areas of cyber to include policy and security engineering.
- →You will advise Leadership on Cyber technical implementation and policy.
- →You will lead the workforce in implementation of Cyber strategic efforts.
- →You will monitor industry for innovations in cyber security directions and market trends and applies these to Aircraft, Weapons, RDT and E, and DBS Systems.
- →You will plan work and prepare performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- →You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees and evaluates work performance of subordinates and recommends official performance ratings.
- →You will give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓FOR SERIES 1550 - COMPUTER SCIENTIST: Bachelor's degree in computer science.
- ✓OR Bachelor's or higher degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
- ✓At least 15 of the 30 semester hours were in a combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
- ✓FOR SERIES 1560 - DATA SCIENTIST Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position.
- ✓The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
- ✓OR Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
