About the Role
This position is located in the front office of the Under Secretary for Foreign Assistance, Humanitarian Affairs and Religious Freedom (F). The position serves as a Supervisory Foreign Affairs Officer with responsibility for formulating and implementing foreign assistance policies for priority foreign policy areas and regions in which the Department has high priority and high visibility interests.
What You'll Do
- →Handles general office management/scheduling matters and manages paper taskings and clearance processes to ensure the Under Secretary is prepared adequately and in a timely manner for all engagements concerning foreign assistance programs.
- →Supervises daily operations by planning and assigning work, setting short-term priorities, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently based on workload, complexity, and employee capabilities.
- →Serves as a senior advisor and subject matter expert on foreign assistance program activities, and requirements providing authoritative advice and guidance to senior officials throughout F Front Office and the Department.
- →Continuously performs highly complex research of critical U.S. interests in target areas of the world to formulate both foreign assistance policies as well as foreign assistance program initiatives, activities, and policy objectives.
- →Represents the F Front Office and/or the Department on foreign assistance strategic planning and Congressional relations issues/activities.
