What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Financial Assistance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Direct Financial Services Division (FSD) programs, including the Capacity Reduction (Buyback) program, Capital Construction Fund (CCF), and Fishermen's Contingency Fund (FCF).
- →Coordinate the FSD's Delinquent Debt Check process along with the division's administrative and budget operations.
- →Review overall direction of the National Marine Fisheries Services (NMFS) mission and policies and establish measures to align the programs with agency goals.
- →Provide leadership through the development of goals, objectives and priorities within NMFS's office of Management and Budget (MB) and communicating strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
- →Respond to audits and draft proposed updates to the FSD's regulations.
- →Analyze and communicate recommendations on highly complex appropriation policies to senior leadership to ensure programs are funded properly.
- →Perform a full range of supervisory functions, including developing and evaluating performance standards, and resolving work problems among employees.
- →Make or approve selections for subordinate and leadership positions and identify training needs.
- →This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- →Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- →The ZA-4 is equivalent to the GS-13/14.

- ✓Note: Relocation incentives are for current federal employees only.
- ✓This position requires Moderate Risk Security Clearance.
- ✓Background investigation will be required.
- ✓Continued employment is subject to applicant's successful completion of security investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.
