You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEER for the Utilities Management Division within the Shore Department in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Command (NAVFAC EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-14, Step-10.
What You'll Do
- →You will lead, coordinate, and participate in the work of a multi-disciplined engineering group in the areas of energy resilience and water resilience.
- →You will establish and maintain annual budgets, control expenditures of funds, and account for financial viability of the division to support national security objectives and Fleet readiness.
- →You will perform administrative and technical supervisory duties at least 25% of the time.
- →You will direct the overarching operational strategy of the division in direct alignment with the strategic objectives of the customers and stakeholders.
- →You will assess the division's progress, quality of performance, and customer satisfaction.
- →You will contribute to Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT and E) proposals based on customer requirements.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
