You will serve as the Branch Head for the Test Technologies Branch of the Research Directorate at Langley Research Center.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as Branch Head responsible for establishing guidelines and monitoring performance expectations with staff members.
- →Establishes measurable and results-oriented short- and long-term organizational goals and objectives based on the strategic objectives for the branch, directorate, and Center.
- →Provides technical and administrative direction to subordinate employees.
- →Obtains project resources, defines technical work requirements and milestones, evaluates accomplishments, and represents organization and employee work to senior management.
- →Conducts editorial/technical review of research reports, presentations, and other material submitted for publication.
- →Leads workforce planning and appropriate hiring actions to address skills imbalances and succession needs; including activities to ensure well qualified candidates are hired, developed, and promoted.
- →Assists in developing wind-tunnel data products for research and development projects.
- →Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
Requirements
- ✓If you did not complete a qualifying bachelor's degree, you may be eligible if you have obtained a graduate degree in an AST qualifying field, as listed above.
- ✓Degrees in engineering technology are not considered qualifying for this position.
- ✓Engineering degrees earned within the United States: Engineering degrees earned within the United States must be from a college or university that has at least one ABET accredited engineering program.
