About the Role
This position serves as the Supervisory Dentist and Chief of the Dental Department for the Pawnee Indian Health Center located in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, evaluating, and administering a comprehensive dental health program for eligible American Indian and Alaska Native patients served by the Service Unit. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Provides advanced clinical dental services while exercising full supervisory and administrative responsibility over professional, technical, and administrative dental staff.
- →Serves as the principal advisor to Service Unit leadership on matters involving oral health services, dental program operations, quality assurance, infection control, accreditation compliance, community oral health initiatives, and contract dental care management.
- →Coordinates interdisciplinary patient care activities with medical providers, nursing staff, behavioral health personnel, public health staff, tribal organizations, and external healthcare partners.
- →Monitors utilization of staff, equipment, supplies, and clinical resources to maintain efficient operations.
- →Performs comprehensive oral examinations, diagnoses oral diseases and abnormalities, and develops appropriate treatment plans.
- →Provides a full range of general dentistry procedures including restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, preventive dentistry, periodontal therapy, pediatric dentistry, and emergency dental treatment.

Requirements
