What You'll Do
- →Occupies a supervisory position involving the direction of a shift, consisting of correctional officers assigned to various posts and/or programs.
- →Responsible for carrying out the directions of the Captain relative to planning, directing and administering inmate programs, activities, work and recreational pursuits.
- →Serves as a direct liaison between the Captain and correctional officers, and as such is responsible for the conduct, morale, performance and training of the correctional officer complement.
- →Authorizes changes in institutional operations when necessary to meet emergency situations.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
Requirements
