About the Role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the ACQUISITION SUPPORT LINE of the NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD FAR EAST.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates to meet program goals, objectives and broad command priorities, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- →You will develop performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
- →You will administer long-term, complex contracts of highly specialized, extensive, new or innovative techniques for facilities construction, design, and services affecting major agency programs.
- →You will prepare, review, and approve delivery/task order and modification award documentation.
- →You will perform cost and price analysis and ensure compliance with cost accounting standards.
- →You will conduct periodic meetings with team members for purposes of setting policies/procedures for consistent execution of contract actions (cradle-to-grave), to solicit problems experienced by the team in the procurement processes.
- →You will perform pre-award functions for procurements involving complex contracts of highly specialized, extensive, new or innovative techniques for facilities construction, design, and services of significant importance to the agency.
- →You will serve as a Contracting Officer.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
- ✓NOTE: The education requirement listed above applies only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000.
- ✓Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement.
- ✓Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
