About the Role
Join the Indian Health Services as a Supervisory Contract Specialist (Compliance) within the Great Plains Area Office. This position provides leadership and oversight of acquisition compliance activities through audits, policy development, training, and technical guidance. The incumbent supports procurement integrity, regulatory compliance, and acquisition operations across the Great Plains Area. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Leads acquisition compliance reviews, audits, assessments, and risk analysis to evaluate compliance with acquisition laws, regulations, policy, and internal controls, recommends corrective actions, and supports organizational compliance oversight initiatives.
- →Provides expert technical guidance and policy interpretation to acquisition personnel, program officials, and senior leadership on complex acquisition compliance matters, regulatory requirements, and acquisition strategies.
- →Establishes and oversees acquisition compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks to strengthen oversight, improve organizational effectiveness, and ensure the consistent application of acquisition requirements across programs and operations.
- →Oversees acquisition training programs, guidance materials, and workforce development initiatives to promote compliance, enhance acquisition competencies, and support acquisition personnel throughout the Great Plains Area.
- →Supervises and coordinates the work of acquisition personnel by establishing priorities, evaluating performance, identifying training and developmental needs, and fostering a high-performing work environment that supports organizational objectives and mission accomplishment.

Requirements
- ✓Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S.
- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
